Blake Parham

Blake Parham (Tenor) has appeared on stage as ‘Toby’ in George Palmer’s Cloudstreet (State Opera SA - Workshop), ‘Basilio’ in Le Nozze di Figaro, ‘Vasek’ in The Bartered Bride, and ‘Pluto’ in Orpheus in the Underworld (Rockdale Opera), ‘Goro’ in Madama Butterfly (Opera Projects, Sydney), ‘Monostatos’ in Die Zauberflöte (Opera Laboratory Sydney), ‘Tinca’ and ‘The Song Seller’ in Il Tabarro (Beaches Productions), ‘Samuel’ in The Pirates of Penzance (Gilbert and Sullivan Society SA), ‘The Baker’ in Into the Woods (Elder Conservatorium), and was a young artist with Pacific Opera from 2014-15. Blake has appeared in concerts with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the University of St Andrews, the Dundee Cathedral, the Illawarra Choral society, the Adelaide Philharmonia, the Polish Musicians Association (Warsaw), the Barossa Vintage Festival, the Sydney Conservatorium, the Macquarie University Orchestra, and at Sydney Opera House.  Awards include the George Boland Scholarship, the 5Mbs Young Virtuosi Award, and an Arts SA Grant to study with Peter Coleman-Wright. He is currently a music lecturer at the Avondale Conservatorium, and a PhD candidate at the Sydney Conservatorium. Upcoming performances include ‘Triquet’ in Eugene Onegin with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Handel’s Messiah at the Newcastle Cathedral, and Mozart’s Requiem with the Central Coast Philharmonia.
