Opera . . . in a pub?  You heard right!  Opera Bites brings best-loved opera hits to the relaxed atmosphere of your local pub.

​

Opera Bites has partnered with The Harold in Glebe to bring you the world’s favourite opera highlights in the relaxed environs of a great local pub.  

​

​Tickets are $45 + booking fee and include a 90-minute, fully costumed show, upstairs at The Harold.  Show starts at 7.30 pm. 

 

Fabulous  food and drinks  are available  for separate purchase at the venue.  HAPPY HOUR from 5-7pm.  All day kitchen open till 10pm for pre-, mid- or post-show dining.

Tuesday 4th November - 7.30 pm: "The Voices of Opera"

Why does the tenor love the soprano and why is the baritone always the bad guy?  Join us as we explore the various voice-types of the opera world, what roles they sing and the characters they play. Fully costumed and served up in typical Opera Bites style, expect glorious arias and ensembles aplenty, tunes you will know (and a few you might not) – whether you’ve seen a hundred operas, a handful or none at all.

Tuesday 2nd December - 7.30 pm: "Opera Celebration"

Opera loves a party! Whether its whole scenes or party pieces, parties for one or for everyone, some of opera's most famous numbers are set in scenes of celebration. From La traviata to La Boheme, The Merry Widow to Die Fledermaus, come and celebrate with Opera Bites in this year's party season!
