Rik Dawson
Rik Dawson (Baritone) graduated from Wollongong University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts. Rik has featured in a number of TV commercials. His theatre credits with Rockdale Opera include Valentine in Faust, Lord Essex in Merrie England and Count Barinkay in The Gypsy Baron. Rik has completed cast recordings of Colleen McCullough's opera Morgan’s Run and an Australian Musical Musician Hands. He has appeared as Tinca in Sydney Independent Opera’s Production of Puccini’s The Cloak. Rik has enjoyed working with Opera Bites around the country in numerous roles including Germont in La traviata, Belcore in The Elixir of Love, Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Frank in Die Fledermaus, Dr Malatesta in Don Pasquale, Quince/Moth in The Fairy Queen, Mr Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro. Rik completed his LMUS in Singing in 2011 and is currently having tuition from Stephen Yaluris.
